Are you sick of the farewell to January blog posts yet? Here’s one more:
January snuck up on me, I’m not quite sure why. I always think I will have more time in between Christmas and New Year’s, time to figure out what I need to change in my life. Next thing you know, you’re counting down to midnight and realizing that you don’t have any resolutions yet. I ended up scribbling a list on the back of my Martha Stewart notebook during Sunday School a few weeks ago. The general tone of the list was I want to do more, I want to be better, and I want to be happier.
January snuck past me, I’m not quite sure why. There were so many things I wanted to do, but it was just so cold and I was so tired. Suddenly, Christmas decorations are on clearance and everything is pink and red heart-shaped candy, and I’m wondering where January went and why the snow is melting,
I’m determined to not let February get away from me the way January did. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to date more (Tyson, not anyone else), so I’m looking forward to spending our first Valentine’s day as a married couple together. We still can’t remember what we did last Valentine’s day, so I’m hoping this year will be more memorable. Bring on the candy hearts and giant teddy bears!
